I have my eyes on another V70 Ph.1 TDI (P80 platform). It's a lovely blue and matches my eyes, but also means my national-flag blends-in nicely on the tailgate. The current owner is reluctant to part with it, but his wifey has taken the hump at its propensity to dump water from the sunroof onto her lap. We will see, and I will bide my time.
Of all the V70's right now, it's the TDI's that are fetching the strongest money. I think they have become a rarity, as the VW fraternity have been scrapping them for ages to relieve them of their powertrain.

I keep thinking of getting myself a nice little 1970s tractor to restore, however space is against me and the prices of reasonable examples is very high. Unfortunately anything really good is exported, leaving high prices for the rotten examples left over.

Still have bits to do on my recently bought Range Rover P38A, a real nice drive and a good buy, but having 4 Rover's is a bit much so I think I will be saying good by to one of the 75's at least. Of to Majorca Friday ( if Doncaster's still open) my first holiday abroad since loosing the wife, so being on my own will be a new experience, still reminiscing but trying to get on with life, its working on my cars that keep me going

Hi Rhubarb No its a 4 litre petrol but don't do many miles these days but the comfort & ride is superb, although they are a complicated vehicle it gives me hours of enjoyment sorting things out received plenty of nice comments when I took it to Thoresby Classic car show although it was the only one there Well time to get the spanners out for another days enjoyment.

Hi Rimmington No sadly to say I am going on my own, still reminiscing after the loss of my wife (although I don't think its doing me any good) I am going back to the last holiday we had together, its now two & a half years since I lost her to covid but I just can't move on . We were married for 64 years, I met her two month before her 16th birthday we were childhood sweat hearts and she waited for me while I did my national service in Cyprus ( a lot of the lads received dear john letters ) but you have some how to move on but its hard and lonely, that's why I through my self into my 4 cars, I wouldn't have 4 cars if she was still here

I wouldn't have 4 cars if she was still here Mrs. V lets me have lots of cars, as she knows that with that much trouble down in the garage, I'm not going to have any time for flings with local Lassies....
