Absolutely brilliant - all of them. I cannot thank you enough for posting this - it really cheers me up! I find these sorts of cars much more interesting than so-called exotic classics, there's just so much character in them.
What sets these restorations aside from the expensive stuff is that the owners themselves have often had to do the hard work; there isn't enough margin to justify a professional resto. So they all have very special stories, and the fact that the owners have kept and cherished their respective cars means that they are likely to stay this way, rather than be run into the tarmac as bangers.

Charge per car they are losing revenue there.

Aidens going to show one of his next year, I don't get excited about shows any more, it's all cheque books / klarna.. now 5 hours around trip, no air con in the A2... Its slowly improving the more miles I drive it and that's the longest drive in it so far, 62MPG this tank

As already mentioned, thanks for the photos, some of those bring back memories, mostly good, of vehicles I've owned and others I've driven. The red Chevette van especially, I lived in the back of one for nine weeks whilst working in Colchester - I was too mean to pay the extortionate B&B rates! You can clearly see the efforts the owners have gone to, in some cases they've (meant in the nicest way) clearly been 'polishing turds'.

Yeah nice photos!
Brings back memories.
I had a black Astra GTE and a VW 1.8 GT2 Scirocco in red.
Astra was not trouble at all - the VW - I have problems with the auto choke on the Pierburg Carburettor - plus the exhaust manifold kept cracking - I kept gas brazing it up.
But I recall the silly U shaped clips holding the main exhaust on. I got a special tool somewhere for spreading them. Exhaust never went where I brazed it - it just cracked somewhere else.
