i bought this from a staples to naples team in 2006, when our 320i expired. when i started looking, i found rust, and lots of it! it needs inner and outer front wings, doors, front valance, rear valance, rear suspension mounts, outer sills (and probably inner sills) windscreen scuttle and bonnet. almost all of which i have now tracked down, mostly NOS stuff and sent half way round the world to get here. just need to track down outer sills (although i'm told mk1 golf ones can easily be modified to fit) and a bonnet, but i don't fancy my chances there, so may have to get the one that's on it repaired. i've got some half (fake) leather front seats, and i'm not going to bother with rear seats, just make a fitted carpet for it. this will be off to see a panel beater in the not too distant, just need to get hold of a trailer to take it there

I dont know much about these lovely cars, but would a 83 bonnet fit a 79 version, or did the face lift effect the bonnet used?

Face lift is totally different Matt..Look at the bottom Sig Pic in Nates thread I think you should kick this one to one side, and get the transit sold, get the camper and then the beetle sorted
