Got a small intercooler and pipe kit today for the Ka. Gonna spend a few hours tomorrow morning sizing it up. Also got an oil feed and return kit so that need to be looked at. Will need to relocate or find a different radiator, does anyone have any recommendations?

Fascinating project. You might need to involve a 5th fuel injector, and a piggy back ecu. The The JJ/J4 Endura-E has a static compression ratio of 9.5,calculated when the piston is at BDC and the inlet valve is open. Whereas dynamic ratio will be lower, and that is calculated when the inlet valve is closed, when compression is actually happening, and the piston has risen up 38 degrees ABDC

Most of the oil feed and return is done now. Still waiting for a couple of pipe unions and adapters. Been a nightmare waiting for parts to arrive and then finding stuff don't fit right and having to wait for more stuff to arrive. Picked up some 3 spoke Ka alloys for it a couple of weeks ago aswell, should make it look smart. Once this oil feed/return is done can move on intercooler.

Might be worth having a look at swapping the gearshift mechanism out of that Sportka if possible, I think they have a shorter throw than standard, good little motors I bought my Mrs one to hoon about in back in 2006

So much fun to drive, should of brought one years ago haha There is a bit of a silly story about how the SportKa actually came about The chassis development engineers were given a £10k budget for a bit of fun by Ford/Jaguar to see what they could knock up out of the "parts bin" The obvious thing to do was whack the convertble StreetKa bits and bigger Brazilian rocam 1.6 engine into a stiffer/lighter bodyshell and shorten the gearing to 100mph and make a little track car to zip about in Somebody at Ford had the good sense to sign it off for production and give it some RS styling tweaks We loved ours,it drove like a go-kart and was a truly fun little car to own Wish I had kept it now, it was split mint and only had 6k on the clock when I flogged it on, Only paid £6k for it brand new from a local dealer as they were trying to get shot of it (they knew me from my time at another dealership) Sold it a year later for what I paid!!!

Could be a bit vunerable with the boost pipe so low down.

Yer is rather low. Can't get it any higher otherwise will hit the bonnet. Sounds amazing though 😁

Could you rotate the intercooler 90° then make the top boost pipe longer.

Looks like you could move the blue elbow to the black pipe then rotate the cooler and use the hockey stick hard pipe to connect to the pipe nearest the bonnet?

Thanks for the responses. I'll try and see if I can do something with the intercooler

Had the SportKa detailed and machine polished by a friend in return for a favour. It looks like a new car haha. The sills need replacing so if anyone can recommend a place or someone within a 40 mile radius of Milton Keynes please let me know.
