Here you go, I’m rubbish at videos and it’s only on my phone but you get the idea! youtu.be/nsBrnN66YisAll the other jobs are done now except the steering wheel which I have found, but need to polish and fit. Then time for its first drive - scary thought .

It's running exceptionally well, nicely balanced there!

Well time to close out this thread now. After driving it for nearly 40 miles with no issues I took it along to my friendly regular garage where it quickly became the centre of attention -“look at this Wayne, it’s like it just came out the friggin showroom” was the comment when it went up on the ramp.
Anyway passed its MOT with no issues so I’m happy I haven’t missed anything silly so all I have to do now is drive it and polish it. Feels quite odd really, how do I persuade Mrs Sorted I need a new project?

Well 2 things to report. First I started the old girl for the first time since September earlier on. Hardly even heard the starter turn before she sprang into life, silky smooth and very happy.
Time for a wash and take it for a spin if the weather holds.
But I was also struggling not to cover it in dust and worse when working on anything else in the garage, so just completed an add-on to the side to keep it safe and give me freedom to work on other stuff without worrying.
I would have added a pic but as others have reported there is a message that the forum had exceeded its space quota for pics ☹️

I believe that we can do this as an admin action.
I'll fire up the Rhubby/Nobby batsignal and see what we can do!

Thanks Rhubarb. I’ve added the bit on the right. In case you’re wondering why I’ve gone for a wooden floor, it’s because there is a drain and my incoming water pipe under there and whilst neither have given trouble in the 12 years I have lived here, we all know what will happen if I laid a concrete slab! Can anyone tell me why the second pic insists on being on its side when it’s doesn’t do that until I post? Can’t see any way to fix it... Attachments:
