Hello new to this forum. Been a vauxhall mechanic for 10 years and just about to leave the dealership to start at a small garage. How do you get access to trade only.

Send Rhubarb (Administrator) a PM for access to the Trade section. Your a brave man starting a small garage in the current Trade climate but good luck and a little tip Customers aren't always forthcoming with the truth.

Hi scooby88, nice to see new members coming here..... I've had a few Vauxhalls in my time, from the early Viva's/VX4/90 Firenzas to Corsa's and an Insignia....All I'll say is they went from bad to worse....( a polite way of saying they're sh*te...)....I turned to Ford's in the end but gave up after nearly 30 years of them and bought a decent German car...(Passat estate...) Dont mind working on cars as long as its not raining.... Good luck with the job change....

Good luck with the job change.... so it took around thirty years to find a decent reliable make of car I've nothing against Ford and Vauxhall, I've worked on loads in my lifetime, even worked for Vauxhall some 12 years ago, most of the problems stemmed from either poor maintenance, the customers fault, or poor repairs caused by mechanics rushing to get their bonus up. The manufactures like everyone must make some money, so built-in adolescents must be there to ensure some return for everyone involved, however the owner gets the short straw in every deal.
