Hi I am desperate for some help, I have a 66 plate Qashqai and have a isofix car seat for my granddaughter. Not sure how or what has happened but one side of isofix is stuck into car isofix bar! One side comes out easily but inside to middle seat does not move. Is there an easy fix? We have tried pushing and pulling. It's very urgent to get this seat out.
PLEASE HELP

We can't be of much help here , but you may have to get aggressive with the thing . Which might result in damage to the child seat or the car
Unless you can see what's going on within the release Mechanism.
Has the mum or dad given it a go ?
Sometimes best with a second approach

Ours does this sometimes. It's usually because it's not been pulled out straight. Push the side that has disconnected back in until it clicks, then operate the release button(s) and pull the seat out firmly but straight (so both isofix clips disconnect at the same time).

The ISOFIX system anchors are located at the rear of the seat cushion near the seatback on the rear seat. Labels are attached to the seat cushion to help you locate the ISOFIX system anchors (as illustrated) below. Attachment Deleted CLICK ON IMAGE TO ENLARGE Try sticking your hand in between the seat and the back rest. You should find one anchor at each end.

I am a Father to three and a Grandfather to seven. Plus a professional mechanic.
But I just simply don't touch kids cars seats.
Wifey or my daughter/daughter in law does ours.
I have found them to be the most frustrating things ever.
I have list of things I don't touch.
Car seats
Irons
Washing machines
Hoovers
Pushchairs
Cookers
Tumble dryers
When a customer asks me to touch a child's car seat. I just say no!
There are "pink jobs" and there are "blue jobs".

Ofter not ever considering isofix or car seats for 35 years, it seems to be something you become an expert in after having a little one. They are often reluctant to release if you aren't pulling them square or if something is putting pressure on them - often the top part of a fold down seat. Try clipping the other side back in, checking you've got the right button and run your fingers round the clip to check it's not snagged.
