Hello. one of my customers has passed on a screw for me to find and the only information i have out of him currently is its from a window regulator. I deal with fasteners every day but this one has really stumped me. It is a No.12 UNC 24 TPI. Mushroom head philips. I have found a lot of pan heads, but can not find a mushroom anywhere. He said it has to be mushroom to suit or fit the car. It also has to be zinc plated or stainless. Not self colour. The length of the screw to the dog point is roughly 1/2" but he can take 3/8". Would anyone know where i can find some of these?. his looking for 500. I have asked over 10 of my big suppliers which have all quoted for pan. I didnt know who else to ask so thought id ask a forum. I know a lot of car owners like myself can come across weird size screws. thanks Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted |

Definitely unc not metric?
Searched for socket head button? Does it need to be philips screw, or torx, hex etc?
Curious why it needs to be unc if looking for big quantity.

In fairness we have not had too many idiots on here of late.

Yes, they have deleted all the dubious adverts for euphemisms like "personal services" and "French polishing"...... If my business is anything to go by, you tend to avoid sticking your head above the parapets by encouraging inclusion into such directories, as you are then blitzed with endless requests for further information, which leads to nagging for paid-for inclusions into other media like online services, etc. etc., and it all mushrooms out of control. They are all as bad as each other, and there is nothing like the consumer-protection for small businesses that you would expect as an individual...... |
