I got the coolant in the system last night, all the loom plugged back in, looks like it will all be fine.
The oil separator/breather system no longer fits how it used to so that is now my latest head ache.
Not allowed in the garage this evening so its gonna have to wait a bit.

I'm having a injection in my dodgy shoulder on Friday and am told I have to rest it for a couple of days, so that might put me out of action this weekend.
Gonna aim to get some more done on Thursday eve.

I had one 2-3 years ago and was told to rest if for a few days. Also told after a couple of weeks you may thing you have an arm like Popeye but it's only temporary.

Yeah I presume so Pete, if it helps it will all be worth it, shoulder has been giving me issues for approx 3 years.

I've started reworking the breather fitment, this is about the only place I can get it to fit so I just need to get a hose to attach the breather on the right side. I did try to get the fuel lines done underneath on Monday but in the process I broen my phone, lost the sim card and spent a good hour hunting for my pipe cutter. Hopefully get them done on Sunday now.

I had a couple of leaks to attend to on the fuel system but we appear to be getting some where.

Been tidying a few bits up on the car as it should be off for MOT next week. Discovered an oil leak which I traced to the oil return on the turbo, the bolts that hold the pipe outlet to the core were loose, not my doing, they have nipped up ok, I might order a new gasket and replace that. Also noticed a slight coolant leak somewhere near the thermostat housing/top hose so I've wiped everything down and nipped all the hose clips up. Will have to have a look at all these areas next time the car is up to temperature.
Still waiting on a hose so I can sort the breather hose out, its a day over due so hope that arrives tomorrow.

Its been out for a wash, front bumper is coming back to me tomorrow so we can get that on, empty a few items from the interior and then its ready for MOT. Just replaced the front wiper blades as I know they were knackered, they had rust embedded in the rubber. Car needs a real good cleaning session but its hard work on the driveway so will have to wait till I have tax and can do it on the street. There is quite a bit of vibration at low revs and idle probably due to the near solid engine mounts, I think it will take a bit of getting used to but its not like I can turn back now.

I like the front-end treatment, Stu. It has that "retro American" feel about it. Good idea with those fence-post markers! Also comply with RHD standards (red to the left) when racing off the driveway....

On the opposite sides of the posts it has white reflectors. All done by the old boy we bought the house from.
