Work in logistics and I've found a few things on here of interest over the last few months so I thought I'd join and see if I can weigh in at any time! More of a learning mission though to be honest. My names Dave anyway. I've added a few posts already but been looking for the new members area!

We have a few, our HGVs are all Merc and Scania. Our LCVs are mainly merc and tranis, with a few LDVs which are clinging on to life.

We use to have a 400 daf
Basicly an ldv, thing tried to murder me
Steering shaft on top of the housing just let go on the highway
Luckily it pulled to the right under braking
I saw an oframp was trailing towards second lane I slammed the brakes and turned into of rampand miraculously I did not hit anything
I called my boss he told me to chisel
Some dents into the input shaft and tighten the mount back on
I drove back on small roads doing 10 an hour marched into his office threw the keys on his desk
and politely told him if he ever asked me to drive it again I'd park it on top of his benz
It got donated to a local school for their mechanics class to dismantle and fudge around with, a week later
and we got a brand spanking new 3and a half tone sprinter
I guess they felt bad about what happened
