How do these things work?

You use them on a rattle gun, saves you having to torque the wheels up afterwards.
They will only tighten wheel nuts to the torque stamped on them, then metal shaft twists once the wheel nuts reach the set torque.

I've never seen anyone use these !
And I don't think I could get my head around not using a torque wrench after all those years of doing so.

I used to use them when I was servicing all the time, I'd forgotten they where in the bottom of my old breakdown tool box under my bench.
You are meant to periodically test they set the correct torque, in all the time I used them they always set the correct torque, they save you time especially if your on bonus for service time!
Don't tend to do much service work now and if it is it tends to be obscure stuff, just tend to get the jobs that have been passed around the workshop like a grenade with the pin taken out!!

I've also got some, quite good actually!
Does save time but like Dragon, a service is a luxury!
