Was more a case of maybe another nissan or renault one would run on same frequencey/ voltage etc but have a tubular design so just a swap over. Tricky to find. As a rule of thumb, finding a Renault/Nissan shared platform is a start, but you need to be looking for a recode of the MAF at the same time, as these are mapped by the OEM's as part of the overall air intake system - as mentioned above, the flow patterns are important to MAF calibration.

All you need to fit your eBay chep cone filter is a bit of pipe to fit inside it, and a bit of sheet. Stick the 2 together (weld, araldite, whatever) cut appropriate holes, use an old mousemat to make a seal. Job jobbed.
