2007 1.8 Astra (Twin top) power steering has suddenly stopped working while driving.
Hoping it might be a fuse as no warning lights on dash and no previous signs of failure.
Anything to look out for on these?
Thanks in advance.

These are electric/hydraulic, plenty of fluid, will check fuses tomorrow and alternator charge etc

Had it before on the astras steering not working due to the alternator not charging.

More often than not power steering failure on these is down to charging problem

Checked the alternator output, which was fine but found an 80 amp fuse which feeds the motor had blown. Bypassed the fuse straight from the battery and it's a short circuit so guessing it's time for a new motor.
