My 55 plate corsa energy doesn't feel right. I haven't drove for long so I'm not too clued up on cars. Sometimes it struggles to start, its drinking oil like mad (doesn't appear to be a leak), when reversing its judders and almost stalls, and when im sat idle with the engine on it feels like its going to konk out (it will also rev very slightly on its own without my foot on the accelarator while sat still in nuetral). The person I bought it off said it could do with new spark plugs which I confess I havent got sorted yet, but i suspect theres more too it than spark plugs. Clarification on the oil, I have to top it up pretty much every week. Any ideas?

You don't say what model you have which will help people here
Your right it's more than just needing spark plugs
Do you exactly how much oil you are using per no. Of miles

Obviously the more info you provide, the better a guide to effecting repairs will be forthcoming...... Does it burn the oil you are losing....an emissions test would help if you cant see any smoke.... Compression....testing the cylinders will aid further to determine if its valve guides or rings/pistons...

... ive done around 500 miles and used well over 2 litres of oil That's about 125 miles per pint of oil! At that rate of consumption you should have a cloud of blue smoke behind you all the time. If not the oil is going somewhere else. Any sign of oil in the coolant? Maybe a head gasket or the oil/water intercooler if it has one.
