Hello, I've just noticed water leaking under my car (2001 mk3 Mondeo Ghia 2.0 petrol), and it seems to be directly below the heater matrix. I'm not losing any engine coolant.
Looking at my Haynes manual it looks as though it could be coming from the Evaporator?? I know nothing of AirCon systems. Is this going to be expensive to put right? Considering the car is worth approx £1,000.
Thanks for any help.
Ian.

Sounds normal to me.. Probably condensation if the aircon's being used in anger

Hi mate. I hope it's just condensation, but it's dripping water quite a bit?

Hello Ian don't worry it's perfectly normal , and quite a common concern
It's due to the difference in temperature against the evaporator core
The warm ambient air against a evaporator core of around 3-5 *c
Think of your windows in your home at winter but in reverse
