I also have a ford focus 2012 plate 1.6 zetec diesel , it clunks when going from 1st to 2nd , have we concluded this is normal now ?

This was my thread originally my focus is still clunking between 1st and 2nd but hasnt got any worse and can be reduced with smoother gear changes. Ive since heard it maybe built in play in the gearbox.

It is most noticeable in the 6 speed transmission B6 At low speed gear changes And yes it's an normal design characteristic.

I'm 6 speed transmission also, sorry about lifting a dead post but my mind is at ease now lol
