Testing petrol injectors.
How have you done it in the past, how can scanner data can be used, scope fun, anything really. What problems have you encountered on individual models and how did you get round them ?
Some injectors are easy to get at and cheaply available so its no big deal to swap them out on a best guess, some are more involved so I'm just looking for a bucket full of ideas.

I measure the Ohms across the injector coil (16 ohms).
Or resort to swapping them about to move the problem about.

No car in particular, just had a few recent episodes of injector fun, one was easy, no dismantling and came straight out, another was more dismantling and an absolute swine to pull out, I don't know why, crushed it to death pulling it, I'd like to think it was pre-existing physical damage that caused problem.
made me have the thought to brush up on making certain before pulling, would hate to get it wrong on a costly item.

I've known a few ka with rocam engine have injector failure
Only other failure I can think of is leaking injectors/difficult cold start
I think overall injectors are fairly robust compared to other components

Yes they seem reliable, working or not type of thing, but with a fault where its an uncertain suspect, not quite within data parameters, or not quite the same trace, or are they all sticky or weak situation....grasping at straws sort of thing.....I guess its all about experience on the same model. What could cause a problem, what won't cause a problem, knowing whats right and whats wrong.......and god knows I'm not the man for that.....

Long screwdiver to your ear or a piece of bent wire or brake pipe and your mate on the key

Hook up a fuel pressure gauge Then use the scan tool actuator tests to run the injector/injectors and see how much the pressure drops for each injector helps finding blocked injectors. If they all fire together on the actuator test just leave one connected at a time. Obviously the fuel pump won't be running so you will have to reprime the fuel rail between each test. If the pressure doesn't drop equally for each injector or doesn't drop at all on one of them then bingo you have found the culprit

Try watching short term fuel trim/o2 sensor as you disable each injector in turn. Misfiring/no fuel will cause high oxygen due to no combustion.
