hi you lot!! got a fizzy ghia in atm nearside footwells full of water! weve narrowed it down to leaky screen, its coming in from the electrical connector!! so my question,is it a bad manufacturer of the screen or is it coming in from the sealent that they use in the factory, the screen looks like its the original!! any other common water ingress issues on these? thanks

ok this one gone now we dried out the interior, lucky the a/c still works on this!! the screen is actually leaking from the bonded sealent bit, according to local windscreen guy its common as anything. two week wait for her insurence approved company to fit new one,and still have to pay £70 excess!! i put duck tape around that corner and roof to stop any more water coming in.

sorry mate, i thought id said nsf it was the front windscreen,it was a heated one,i think the water was coming in above the connector for the element and running along that copper strip then dripping off!!

What years the Fizzy midnight? Can't the windscreen people re-bond it why does it have to be a new screen. More money in it for them.

More difficult to remove without breaking it

This is what I used when I compiled methods for A major windscreen replacement company, Never broke a screen. The only issue was if the screen had an encapsulated moulding that if it got damaged it would require a screen replacement. Eaziwire if I remember correctly was the name of the product.
