Engines back together and coolant topped up and test drove ok. he exhaust and lots of smoke and vapour the exhaust and manifold are all burnt off now. Pics etc being uploaded whilst I have my tea. Drivers door cards off to look at the sticking drivers window.Greased the aluminium runners and cleaned the front and rear switches (electrical contact cleaner) seems a lot better but sometimes a slight delay before window moves (could be switch age related not sure as yet? ) Transmission tunnel partly removed because the handbrake switch not working now it was before. Might have to remove the lower dash and radio to get the tunnel off completely. Can't see the handbrake switch atm just lifting the tunnel slightly forward. Slideshow so far might work.

Checked the battery Engine off 12.21 volts not happy with that. On tickover 13.85 volts so it's charging ok . Engine on tickover lights on heater on 13.62 volts. I'm going to charge the battery up first before I condemn it. Youngest brother borrowed my charger last week and I ain't got it back. Aaaarrrgghhh Removed a lot of the black sticky door card sealant and ran out of meths.

Might have to bite the bullet and buy a new battery for her. 12.2 volts this morning but she started. Gave the outside a good power wash and shampoo ready for clay barring the paint work if I get time this week? You can feel the roughness in the paint when you run your hands across the panels. Don't suppose it's been done ever or if it has a long time ago. It'll be as smooth as a baby's bum when I've finished with it. Then a coat of Mirror Image.

Compare it with the mondeo after being left over night?

You need a Ctek thingy..It's those pesky alarms and immobilisers that are running it down As I said to you, both my Beemers are left disconnected I realise you can't really do that, hence get a Ctek

If it does the job, doesnt matter what the box it comes in looks like I was referring to your previous post Dai I'm not bothered which smart charger I get as long as it does what it's says on the box. It's one of Fords finest Dagenham dustbins even though they were built in Ghenk Belgium.
