Hope you get the money you want for it I reckon the 7 will be a pig to sell, but I'm not worried..I'll keep it if need be I was contemplating selling the Alfa, but the reality is I wouldn't get a great amount for it. Now I've had the paint done, it looks a lot better. I've had the cambelt & water pump done, as well as the injector seals. It's a nice car to drive and I enjoy driving it. The engine has a nice sound to it. I wouldn't know what to replace it with

The £300 doesn't give me an agreed valuation in the event the worst happens. I'm looking at getting it for less than the £300 as it will only be used for domestic and pleasure no business use and no more than 3000 miles per year or less. Exactly the same as me. I never go with the cheapest quote anyway, I prefer to go with a company I've heard of as they're likely to be of long standing and pay out if the shit hits the fan and being a pessimist I know full well non of them want to pay out and I'll be 100s if not 1000s out of pocket long term even with the best The RS owners club used to do agreed valuations for members and the owners would know who pays out and who doesn't, joining is a no brainer IMO Pardon never heard of them. Finally seem to be getting somewhere. A few company's are going to get in touch later on today all seem to be in the £200-£250 price bracket and ones under £200 which I'm wary of but need the details and I want an agreed valuation or I move on. Also the excesses vary from Company to Company from £250-£600 mainly the Compulsory one Fell asleep on the couch tonight watching Tele woke up the Mrs had gone to bed left me their woke up in darkness. Wide awake now my body clocks all over the place.

Cheers Digger ta. Carole Nash rang me not long ago (as requested) and gave me a two competitive quotes (dependant on which excess I go for? ) Their based in Altrincham which isn't far from me over the ship canal bridge and down the back roads. The only issue I have atm to get an agreed valuation is they need 6-8 photo's of the vehicle which atm I don't have. I believe you can get Independent valuations via the Cossie club so might be worth joining them and get some info etc. Thanks again Digger for your valued input as ever. Still waiting for some more to come back to me with prices etc. Train reservation booked for Friday.

Its normal for insurance cos not to agree value until you send pics, if you're that close you could take them personally on Monday after you collect the car

That quote under £200 has now gone up £30 when I asked for an agreed valuation. Young lad Darn Sarf was more interested in me taking out the Policy than what I was wanting so politely told him it's not as competitive as I first thought.
