p.s meant to say go through their website and do the quick quote. I'll have a look and see if they do Classic Car quotes online? Might be different when you ring them up. Just done a quote online with Lancaster and near fell off my ruddy chair. I think I best ring them tomorrow or Tuesday I'm 59 not ruddy 19.

They must think its 1990 still lol I bit the car is still in insurance group 18 (or what ever it is ) I'm old enough to remember when the insurance company's hiked up the premiums on these motors so high people had to sell them and prices tumbled due to the market becoming saturated with them.

They're a business, they'll scrutinise any online quotes and phone you back, they don't want your business and have quoted thus. I wouldn't chase any company to pay them money.......... Only 1 percent will want anything to do with the car which at one time was the most stolen in the land. £300 aint bad IMO The Corrado cost me more and no one wants to buy them let alone steal them

If I insured my 740i privately it would cost £400...I checked it out before I bought it, just incase my trade policy wouldn't cover it... So £300 is a bargain

I'm looking at getting it for less than the £300 as it will only be used for domestic and pleasure no business use and no more than 3000 miles per year or less.

I never go with the cheapest quote anyway, I prefer to go with a company I've heard of as they're likely to be of long standing and pay out if the shit hits the fan and being a pessimist I know full well non of them want to pay out and I'll be 100s if not 1000s out of pocket long term even with the best Tried HIC The RS owners club used to do agreed valuations for members and the owners would know who pays out and who doesn't, joining is a no brainer IMO
