Got to look at a newish Seat Leon tomorrow the TPMS lights come on and I recon one of the tyres has lost some pressure but I won't know for sure till I have a look tomorrow. Assuming it is that and I get the tyre back to the correct pressure and check the other three as well do you recon the symbol with go out or is it a VAG scanner job or any scanner that can communicate with it? The symbol on these is a tyre flat at the bottom (obviously ;D) with an exclamation mark inside the tyre.

I reckon you'll need a scanner to reset it

Just a guess, but I reckon there will be a way of resetting it manually that you might find in the the handbook.
For Example if you load the car up and reset the pressures there will be a way of compensating for the extra pressure.

I'll ask the owner for the handbook and have a look for recommended tyre pressure and see how it goes? Failing that if it doesn't reset at all I'll have to make a phone call.

If the TPMS is the same as on Bentley's then the light will go out when the pressure is reset to within the parameters set on the TPMS control unit Check to see that the car hasn't had new tyres and that the TPMS hasn't been damaged The TPMS button just relearns the parameters, so make sure the tyre pressures are set correctly before pressing My daughters Polo has this as well, and has a reset button in the glovebox. The only problem is that the light comes on and she presses the button without checking the pressures 1st

All done front n/side was well done 25 psi instead of 32. They other front was 2 psi lower than it should have been and the rears should be 29 psi they were 2 psi lower. All done to correct pressures and the reset button is in the centre console to the right of the handbrake. Cheers trickydicky you were bang on ta.

Common problem now a days I'm afraid.... Light comes on the dash and customer thinks there's something wrong with the car!!!
We don't see many tpms failures on fords which use it.
If you need to replace a sensor you don't have to have a ids as they " should" self learn
Some tyre places won't touch them

Only Seat tpms i had problems with was because a front tire was slightly out of shape, it had been to a couple of places with no success and Seat just turned the light off when it wouldn't reset and said they had updated it so it wasnt so sensitive, the tyre didnt look out of shape until it was spun up on a balancer, it's the only thing i could think of
