I've put it all back together and now have this error.
B1932 - Air Bag Circuit Open - Loop #1, Front Driver side.
The original error code I had for low resistance has gone.

So tomorrow's plan is to refit the old squib to see if the fault codes go back to how they were before just to hopefully rule out now having an issue with the airbag.
Should only take about 15mins to switch it all back for testing purposes.

So last night I gave the squib and airbag connector a liberal application of aerosol contact cleaner. Left it overnight to fully evaporate etc and also didn't want to be messing in the dark.
This morning I plugged airbag back in and no change, light still flashing.
Disconnected battery and stripped it down again, put the original squib back on, plugged everything back in etc. I then put ignition back on and the light has gone out, thinking it had done its trick of going off as its cool I did wonder, but it was around 6°c and normally needs to be near freezing point. So I went for a drive to get some more thread lock for putting steering wheel back properly, heaters on full so interior was lovely and warm. Light hasn't come back on.
Removed airbag to properly torque the steering wheel bolt to spec with some threadlock, again refit everything except fully securing airbag on all its fixings and all is good.
Airbag now fully fitted on all clips and interior components are fully reassembled. Further road test with heater on hot and all appears great.
So I can only presume it was a bad connection at airbag to squib or squib to loom. I never cleaned squib to loom connection though.
I can also prob assume the squib I purchased is no good. 🙄
Either way it's now kore or less ready for MOT. Even treated it to 2x new indicator bulbs for the fronts. 😀
