£115 shock horror.
Cable/heatshrink/crimps you have anyway to repair multiplugs.
Am I just mean?

Hmm well that's not good, been very happy with mine, probably made from recycled cars anyway...

I have had to stop using piercing probes for a while; not because I don't like them, but because my Liquid Electrical Tape has gone solid in the tin (again......) and I just cannot justify buying any more right now!
Got a couple of empty car paint touch up bottles with small brushes in and decanted some LET
Sent you one to try out!

Sorting out my parasitic drain set up.
Bought a Lisle clamp/switch/2 x fuses and stackable banana set up, usually good quality yank stuff. Decent price from Amazon for £20 I'd struggle to buy the components (even quality stackable bananas are not cheap). Added some labels and made up a 0.5 ohm 100w resistor with leads and more bananas. That way I can amp clamp it directly or switch in an in-line meter or do voltage drop with the scope across the resistor.
Might modify one of the clamps with a grinder so it can be slipped on the battery post under the lead keeping contact.

Yes, a purpose-made thing to bridge the contact into a battery-post under a fitted clamp would be a very useful thing. I have pondered this subject many times, as I have lost count of the times I have tried to disconnect a battery without losing the continuity of my probe (or whatever) keeping the current path open.
I think those clamps may not grind-down too effectively; they will certainly be weak after they are slimmed-down to maybe just a few millimetres.
A starting-point might be some needle-nose locking-pliers, then grind those thin?
Myself, I have thought of using some sheet copper, drilling a hole, cutting through the copper sheet straight through the middle of the hole, then finding a way of clamping the two bits of copper around the terminal, but under the clamp - you always seem to have a slim wedge of lead terminal visible under these battery clamps, where people don't tap the clamp down firmly.

My initial thought is to cut off the return on the top of one of them - the bottom return will make contact first on the base of the post and the sides will keep strength and fit round the outside of the battery clamp... possibly
Might have to extend the bottom return or cut down the vertical.

Brilliant idea! It turned-up today, and it seems to be a far better bet for small piercings - smaller brush means you can get the LET into the pierced hole a bit easier. Thanks!

You're welcome!
Hopefully it will not dry out and with the containers and brushed being specifically for car paint whatever nasty solvent it uses will not eat the bottle or the brush.

I would have thought you use a plain ordinary hacksaw for cutting up fibreglass bodies…..🤣
Lidl’s plasma cutter looks a good buy, but I can’t justify one….besides, they probably need a 16A supply rather than running from a 13A socket….( not that that is a problem…..)

Ok So I didn't buy it, it was a present from a customer, tool for ancient Suzuki's
You plug the modules into it to do different cars. No idea if it does anything special that my launch wouldn't.
