In the process of making the exhaust for the Ka. I have done the down pipe, flexi and a middle pipe. About as far I could get during a lunch break. Took it for a once round the block, pulls really well tbh. The noise of it aswell as its straight through atm!

I have remounted the intercooler and fitting a new radiator. I have had to cut out some of the bumper to get it to fit. I also brought a cat for the exhaust so I can MOT it without worrying. Just gotta finish the exhaust and fit the alloys/tyres and will be ready for a test. Having a bit of trouble bleeding up the cooling system, just can't seem to get all the air out. Believe it is stuck in or around the heater matrix.

Managed to get the air out the cooling system and the car drives great with a bit of boost. Once the boost starts going over half a bar I can feel it needs more fuel as it starts holding back. I have a Speeduino ECU with tunerstudio software to customise the engine maps but having a bit of a problem with ignition timing and cannot find any info for this engine about it. On the standard ECU drives OK til it runs out of fuel lol. I'll work it out!

Can you adjust fuel pressure to help drivability?

Can you adjust fuel pressure to help drivability? No fuel pressure is controlled by regulator on the rail which is controlled by vacuum. Can adjust injector pulse width, amount injected etc. Need it to start first though.

I meant a higher pressure reg, an old trick was to put the reg in a vice between two pieces of nylon sheet and crush the reg increasing the pressure because the spring has more tension - an old Dave Walker trick

You need someone to write you a base map, then go from there.

Fixed some exhaust leaks on this and it drives great on the standard ECU, seems to run around half a bar of boost. I have fitted a wideband sensor into the exhaust which joins to a controller and gauge. Converts the signal into narrow band when in the standard ECU. Doesn't appear to be running lean, in fact when wide open throttle with boost A/F is around 12. Still have troubles with the Speeduino. Sometimes it starts, sometimes not. I'm trying my best to get it to work.
