It's the Bakerlite fuseboxes with strange cartridge fuse inserts that really get to me.....I have had so much fun in the past with Romahomes (Isle of Wight) which are based around the Citroen C15 platform. Now, that's a fusion of artforms from Hell, if there was ever such a thing!!!
Then there are all the little bespoke pumping systems that have inadequate fuse-protection to cover 12v water-pumps around these vans. So water ingresses motor, motor fuses stator to windings over Winter, owner comes along and uses van in the Spring, van catches alight, and because the whole stupid thing is made of fibreglass, it goes up like a firework.....
And it goes on and on, until you finally realise that you hate the things to distraction, and you hate the owners that too doolally to understand what you are trying to work-with.

My next door neighbours son has just bought a 14 plate sprinter with a 10k conversion for 12k. Sat tv, solar panels the lot. He’s a contractor and is fed up of paying for hotels in the week. That's a busines investment

The only good thing about camper vans is when they breakdown there will always be a cup of tea available when you arrive to fix it.

we've not long persuaded a customer to part with hers, horrible thing, this one was based on a berlingo Yes, at one point I had four (yes, that's right, four) of these nasty things on a C15 platform on my books within a 7mile radius. I believe, and I may be wrong on this point, all bar one have gone to the furthest reaches of the UK, and I may be mistaken here if the last has not finally been taken away on the big beavertail-in-the-sky.
I still have the nightmares, though......
Like the one of them that needed the sill and B-post repairs by welding, about 2" from the fibreglass rear body tub that was adhered to the metalwork.
