MOT training website was updated on February 29th 2019 and 12.29 pm, some sections I'd completed have been unchecked. I have started going back through those sections and now found additional information added. I feel this is a terrible service from the IMI, and the mistakes throughout the material hits you plainly and then they back it up by repeatedly telling you to ensure you check the manual for updates! So by example, the author of the IMI training material is not an mot tester and as far as I understand never been in the mot scheme, but has written the training material. An example he gives is that reverse lamps operation does not fail the test if first registered on or after September 01st 2009, but he says is a minor item. Clearly he is wrong and this is not an update, so when the exam is sat and questions and answers like this example are presented, how is a tester supposed to get it correct? I think I'll be complaining to the IMI on this training material this year, absolute jokers
