I'm guessing this apply to bolts that you are inserting into a internal thread in the engine (female thread) not nut .
I've got the engine out now anyway. Don't know who said it on the post but I thought that was the case if you could do it up by hand all the way it fine . I'm guessing if you cant and trying to turn with force then you need to check it out and bring it back out.
I do apologise if I go on abit it just then I know for sure and appreciate all your help

I've got the engine out now anyway. May I ask, what exactly are you doing to the engine? Are you a mechanic/technician? If so how long have you been doing the job!!

Experience experience experience you need to over tighten/cross thread/snap/shear/round off. Nuts and bolts
It's an badge of honour
Well earned
Only this experience can aid you in future prevention
Alas some times even the best of us do it !
Forget the engine
Have an attempt at removing and refitting an abs module which is hidden away and difficult to access.
you will learn the meaning of cross thread then !!!!!
Break pipes will not under any circumstances go in correctly unless by hand first

ABS pump had me sweating last year when I caught a thread while replacing front to rear brake pipes on a Citroen C3 where the pump is behind the nearside front corner of the bumper. Had to remove the entire thing and whizz down to the engineers. I now have the correct size tap in my arsenal. Not that I plan on needing it again.

I thought this all sounded a bit familiar carmechanics.proboards.com/post/59085/threadTo be honest if the OP felt the need to ask this again after all the advice in the earlier thread, I suggest they steer clear of any bolts going into anything expensive!

What a complete and utter waste of time! I agree chip this is out of order IMO. Sorted thanks for bringing it to the Forums attention. matt1234 can you explain yourself before the Forum decides to either Ban you for a period of time or delete your Account permanently.

Lights on dash are engine management light and heater plug light but both have been on long before the turbo problem started, hsd it back to garage twice, they fix it, then it stays off for a short time and then comes back on again.
Interia light dont work either but same again, it stopped working long before turbo problem.
The reason i am saying its a turbo problem is that i dont feel the turbo come in, normally when i put my foot down i can feel the turbo come in and the van takes off like the clappers, its hard to belive its only a 1300. Ive only had the van for a year.
No service history, but its only done 75000 miles

They've obviously not addressed the problem..... So you have an eml light on....it really needs a diagnostic to determine what the cause is..... and.....this issue has been transferred as a new thread....suggest you continue posting there.....
