Interesting.... I wonder if it's worth putting my Beetle in. I never intended keeping it long and was looking to get it ready for sale over the next few months, there's always a gamble I lose out though.

Work out what it owes you and work out the auction entry fees and commission should a sale be successful. You have the option of setting a Reserve as long as it's reasonable after speaking to the Auction people.

Well it's all very confusing..... I got as far as £100 +VAT so £120 entry fee. Then got into the relms of Sellers commission fee, potential removal and storage + VAT And I doubt there's enough in it to play with really. I know what it owes me and what I'd like back on it, but an Auction is a big gamble. I think I'll go with plan A, which was get it ready for spring/summer and start getting it round to some of the VW shows with a sale ad in the window With a bit of luck someone will have a few too many Ciders and happily part with a deposit.

Just sold via bca, £80 entry fee and 7% of the final hammer price £3600 net me £3180, the buyer has it up for sale for £6500........

Very very nice Digger. Could well fetch £125k or more IMO. Are you going the NEC Classic Motor Show this weekend coming? I'm just having a peruse at the cars for Auction.

Some massive figures for the last auction in ref to old fast fords Madness. 1988 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 was strong money as well. Eric Morecambes old Jensen Interceptor fetched a few bob. Old Fords have gone daft I agree with Karl.
