It's getting stripped and selling parts apparently one of his mates told me today

Yeah I know its adding or subtracting fuel. But would no3 be reading less to counter no4 adding more Or a seperate issue? Umm Now you've got me thinking should it be cyl 1 reacting to cyl 4 Either way I've always been told never to condemn a negative reading ? That's what I was thinking should no1 But hey he's not getting it sorted so no difference now What's the reason for not condemning a negative number out of interest?

That's what I was thinking should no1 But hey he's not getting it sorted so no difference now What's the reason for not condemning a negative number out of interest? A negative deviation is a counter action for a slow cylinder that has over positive deviation, it is looking for 0 across the board and trying to meet its specified idle speed, If you study your data critch it is telling you to do some sort of compression analysis first of the whole engine, then you can look at fueling !!

But for future reference, if number is negative I should be focusing towards an in cylinder problem? Do you think any problems on this would show on a relative compression test?
