Scimitar looked a good buy? I had a 240 estate almost identical to that one, always fancied another

I had a 240 estate almost identical to that one, always fancied another Looks like it may need a few bob spending to make it roadworthy and not keen on the interior. 240 Estate looks decent. 1997 Volvo V70 R AWD Estate wasn't a bad buy IMO.

1997 Volvo V70 R AWD Estate wasn't a bad buy IMO. That's putting it mildly...... these things normally fetch 6-8K, depending on whether the AWD parts are all working.
I'm trying to source such a car for a good friend of mine in the South of England, so I'm gutted to have missed this one!

It does have some issues as per last MOT. Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories): Nearside Front brake hose slightly perrished Offside Front brake hose slightly perrished Central support bracket correded Power steering component has slight seepage from a component (2.1.5 (a)) Week before that it failed the MOT on various things (Check MOT History) for details. I had it at two grand to two and a quarter.

Where they sold, some fairly strong prices in there. Not too many bargains to be had as a buyer. Classic market seems to be holding strong at the moment - I thought it was just the optimistic prices at the back of Practical Classics that made it look strong, but obviously not.
