Engine Speed has passed the recommended safe RPM limit which may potentially cause severe engine damage.Has it been tuned at all?

She drives with quite a heavy foot, and briefly caught 3rd instead of 5th. Its a 20vt engine, but I don't know which part of the vag stable it came from
It was the "engine warranty void :-)" that made me chuckle

It could be because the car is not using the engines original dash? Just a guess though

If she's giving it what for in every gear she's not doing the car any good IMO. Could be a faulty speed sensor but I would expect to see a fault code. Try scanning it for any pending codes Nate see if anything's their?

Mostly fit AGU (big port head) engines to mk2s, cable throttle, de immob ecu and the cars original dash. Gearboxes are usually a mix and match, some rod change cable clutch, some cable change with cable clutch conversion (Seat Toledo MK1), others cable box and hydro clutch. There aren't many who fit a turbo engine into a non turbo car that don't go the remapped option too - the performance is there for the taking and after spending a couple of grand for the transplant the remap is cheap as chips Rubjonny is the man to ask about the code, he's got a 9 month waiting list for people who want loom conversions.........................
