Focus 1.6 petrol estate and a big shutter door trailer, know a heating engineer who has done just that, perfect he says, not sure how he gets it out of cul-de-sacs, obviously a better driver than me.

Sprinters get cosmetic rust if not looked after, but they don't rot underneath like a Transit.

Are typical 10 year old transits rotten then ?
I wouldn't touch a 04/54 transit but not for rust issues

Get a low miles minter for £3000 and it'll run forever My boss was after a replacement for his ageing escort estate Looked at loads and loads was after a late 53/54 last of the mk1 focus estate Up to Southampton,Bristol and bottom of Cornwall all turned out to be rough dogs tarted up Then as was starting to give up , one got traded in 54 reg 50,000 k full history ( with us ) less the timing belt Which he'll do on a weekend Asked how much it stood them at £800 !!!! Fooking bargain of the decade Only down side was its an auto , but he can live with that
