I really hate doing cv joints and boots.
Doesnt matter how careful I am, I always end up covered in dirty black grease, and every tool I've used, thing I've touched shows the signs of it too.
Spend an hour doing the job and another hour cleaning everything up, and myself. Then turn round and find more grease somewhere else !
is it just me and a bad method of working ?

Are you doing the repair on or off the vehicle ?
Having the correct boots/clamps/tools make all the difference

Grease is a pain, the way it seems to get everywhere. I hate rebuilding the roller bearings in Landy propshafts. You just need loads of paper towel and some good rags. At least you know your spanners are less likely to rust once you've wiped all the grease off.
