Me likey I've actually got a set of those 6 spoke alloys ready for the mk1 when it comes back from the paintshop Borbet Cs? The 16 inch ones in the pic are for sale A strange thing happened tonight........ The VR6 has had abs issues from day one, a new front sensor and a code clear got it through its very first test ever at 16 years old, the bulb blew during the first 12 months of ownership then loads of inlet and outlet valve faults. I bled the system, wedged the pedal down for 2 weeks, changed the ecu and light, bought a pedal sensor and a [glow=red,2,300]used abs pump [/glow]which is yet to be fitted. I've been using the battery as a spare to jump other cars with, tonight I refitted the battery and the abs is workig as it should ;D It's done about 20000 miles in the front of my van since I picked it up ;D ;D ;D

Haven't you finished this easy project yet then? Nothing happening for a few weeks yet other than get it in the air and check the underside for rot. Screen out, front subframe and rear axle off first Then send the octy to china after a full strip down. I collect a MK3 16v gearbox and starter and a G60 flywheel to go with the VR6 clutch I already have. I've found someone to do the loom for me and de-immob the ecu for £300 so that's the main headache out of the way. I bought a pair of MK4 recaros for £10.50 last week ;D Just looking for door cards , carpets and bits and bobs.

Started stripping the front panels off last night and labelling up the loom as I went. Found nothing too bad other than the bolt on lower rad support looking pretty rotten (most are).
Another hour should see the wings, bonnet and slam panel off
