In fact, I'm such a fan, I have just ordered the 6132 Laser attachment that goes with this.
The only "problem" with ordering the 6132 is that none of the tool-suppliers seem to carry it - normally I would buy this sort of thing through the Tool Academy / Tool Connection site. The only way to access it is via Amazon.....And I hate all the "happy, clappy" people like Amazon, Google, Micros**t, etc. etc.
Once again, it has been a nightmare to navigate away from "Your free 30-day Amazon Prime trial" - and this time I'm not even sure if it has defeated me and done just that, despite all my best efforts. All I want is a nice big, clear button that says "F*** Off with your Amazon Prime offer"
Anyway, as soon as this new attachment arrives, I'll deliver a verdict on it, as I have quite a few very old, and very seized track-rod ends to replace before Christmas....

Well....I got an Email from Amazon today - one of those "happy, clappy" sort of Emails that Mickey Mouse and friends likes to send-out "We have just scre**d you over, but don't worry, you don't have to do anything" sort of Emails - that basically said;
"Your order has been cancelled by XYZ.plc"
"You will get a refund, but not for a long time"
And the inference as well....."No apologies from us. No explanation as to why this has happened, or why that company still offers the product on-site this evening".
Just a plain, old "Happy Clappy Scammy" experience. Don't I feel lucky?
So no review from me.....

So no review from me..... The problem with Amazon is that while you order from the same site/page, they have their "marketplace" sellers, that is 3rd party sellers which can range from firms that use amazon warehouses to hold stock and ship it for them, or they just use Amazon as a shopfront (like ebay) and hold/ship stuff themselves and its easy for firms to list kit they don't actually have. Another fun issue you can run in to is "binning", where Amazon lists (as a hypothetical example) a product like a "FilterPro WX101 oil filter". What happens then is that Amazon might have its own stock of genuine WX101 oil filters, however a 3rd party seller gets a load of fake WX101 oil filters, holds them in the Amazon stock system and then when you go and order one the order picker just grabs whichever one is in the "bin", which can be either.

Thanks for this link - I'm going to give one of these a go, and see how it fares. At a 1/3 price of the genuine Laser tool, I could afford this Neilson to be a bit "soft" and just replace it each year or so.....

At a 1/3 price of the genuine Laser tool, I could afford this Neilson to be a bit "soft" and just replace it each year or so..... It finally turned-up last week - I had forgotten all about it - and from the initial impressions it seems perfectly reasonable. The dimensions are very close to the Laser item, so if the materials are hard enough, then it ought to perform equally as well. The finish is a lot rougher than the (costlier) alternative, but the ultimate criterium has to be the striker-pin; in my experience, this is the one thing that will let-down cheaper air chisel equipment - the ends just peen over where the air hammer pin hits this striker face.
Sadly, or not so sadly, a fair few of the jobs that I was going to use this have fallen by the wayside. I either got away with them a couple of weeks ago - they would not have been good tests anyway - or they turned-out to be no-shows (as usual in some cases). I'm looking around the place for something to try this tool upon......

And the locals do tell the tale of the Red Headed Norseman who wonders the hills of the Isle, the noise of his nut removal tool rattling away across the ages...

Sadly not - every job that has come in since.....I could almost undo the steering tie-rod locknuts by finger.
It's almost as if.......the very presence of this thing in the workshop has frightened every nut into behaving itself.
I will probably have to wait for my rusty VW Passat to come in, then I can have some fun.

And, as irony has it, I had a very rusty thing into the workshop today, a car that I hate every time I have to go near it; the Mercedes R171 on a 2008MY.
What a rust-bucket.....I had to start-off yesterday actually working out in the parking area, just to get enough suspension to secure the back wheel onto it and then drive it onto the ramps for this morning. Two arms had snapped, one of those being the bottom track-control and spring-pan.
Anyway, I hit the other side of the rear suspension with the needle-gun, and (unbelievable for me) ran over to the transmission-jack and dragged it back with me as fast as I could; the other bottom arm was about to let-go from around the lower damper bush, meaning the whole lot was ready to spring downwards and into my face.
Both arms that had "gone" on the offside needed the nearside equivalents renewing, and in the process of getting the old lower arm off, I reached for the air-hammer attachment to see if I could get it around the various seized nuts to shock them free (just blobs of iron at this stage) - sadly the tool, like its genuine Laser equivalent (no doubt) is just too big on the anvil to get into tight places around the back of these nuts.
I'm still waiting to find a track-control or steering tie-rod nut that I can use this on! I might have a candidate fairly soon, if I can ever find the time to get it into the workshop, which is a Volvo V70 Phase_2 that needs a steering tie-rod joint replacing alongside a lot of other front suspension parts. It has been sitting around for way too long, and outside the workshop, so it ought to be red-rusty by now. Then again, it is a Volvo.....
