Grandkids call my Honda Scooter a "mobility scooter". I think I might of put this up before. Here goes. A bloke went to the doctor and said to him "Doctor, I don't know what's wrong with me, but every time I fart, it sounds like the word HONDA". "That's interesting, never heard of anything like that before. Do you think you could do it for me?" says the doctor. The guy says, "Sure." And sure enough, the doctor hears "HONDA". After several attempts to figure out what's wrong with this guy, the doctor runs out of ideas. He sends him to all sorts of stomach specialists and none of them can figure out why this guy's farts say "HONDA." It is a completely out-of-this-world medical condition. Finally, as a last resort, the doctors think they should send the man to a dentist. After explaining the problem to the dentist, the dentist opened up the guy's mouth and examined it. The dentist says, "A-haa! I have solved the problem!" The patient says, "What is it? What is it? Please tell me doc" The dentist replies, "Well, sir, you have an abscessed tooth." The guy says, "Yeah? So? What does that have to do with my farts?" "Cant you see?" the dentist replies. "Abscess Makes The Fart Go HONDA."

I sold the Skoda last week - a "distress purchase" that came knocking on the workshop door. So that's my cheap petrol-motoring gone.
Having said that, I used the diesel V70 at the weekend, and that great tank of a car was out-gunning the Skoda for economy.

See the fuel prices are starting to drop, mine was 174.9 a litre yesterday. About 10 miles from me, consistently lower than supermarkets, he has his own lorries, each does 5 trips per day to supply his own,as well as others stations too and heating oil

159.9 at Glan-yr-Afon on the A494 today, with my local village garage on around 164. Seems recent deliveries are getting cheaper, so I might have a look at topping off the heating oil tank in a few weeks (its price is pretty much tied to diesel).

D A Roberts (image above) also supply heating oil, not sure if they deliver over your way? Would it be worth assembling a syndicate to bulk buy?

The prices at the forecourts ought to be plummeting; something the press all seem to have overlooked recently is that the barrel-price of crude oil is down to circa $80, which is roughly where it was when Ukraine was illegally invaded by its out-of-control neighbour. So theorically, the price of fuel should be around £1.37/litre for petrol on the forecourts. Any more than that, they are taking you for a ride.....

The way I see it is the govt are getting the money back for the furlough scheme.

Its a 50 mile run from Whitchurch, and I doubt I could get enough folks together to make swapping suppliers worth it. To be fair our local supplier (Banwy Fuels) has always been competitive.

Filled the Tiguan up with with E5. £1.689P/Ltr. It was £1.669/Ltr last time I filled up. Slightly lower than time but I see OPEC have reduced their production by as much as two million barrels a day. So that'll increase the price then won't it greedy bar**ards.
