Yes for cars built from march 18 onwards. So a failure in 2021.
Front fog lamps too
Hid bulbs in halogen lamps
Relaxed criteria for windscreen chips
EML lamp on
Not allowed to remove ABS system
Clear removal of EGR,SCR, and If DPF has been cut open and re welded fail. Unless presenter can prove it was legitimate i.e. For cleaning

Ha ha! I've just reassured my father-in-law he doesn't need to worry that one of his reversing lights doesn't work as it's not testable.
Just seen Karl's bit - I'll tell him he can relax again.

Engine management light on is gonna be hilarious. The amount of cars that it's illuminated on year after year.
Get ready for a lot of,
"It passed last year"
Plus how many people will now be able to make extra revenue turning the light off only for it to come back on a few miles down the road.

Oli Or fix it? I agree. That's what I'll be doing next time I see him - he's not very mechanically minded and was getting a bit stressed about it! I know they aren't testable but I think they are quite a useful safety feature - mainly for the warning they give others in car parks etc Oli

I have never understood why reversing lights were never part of the test.... Rear fogs lights yes (a definite yes). Front fog lights? ?? (I never use them, I never feel they improve my vision, only being higher up in truck makes driving in fog easier). Also I could kill people who use fog lights when, it is not foggy! But rear fog lights are a life saver in fog and driving rain.

I share your sentiment.....they are a nuisance, people obviously dont check when they get in the car and drive...... I thought it was illegal to drive with them on when the weather didnt warrant ?

Illegal use of fog lights is a crime... Plus... People who drive on "dark wet days" with no lights on at all, should be executed. Sadly... I have noted: A lot of Police estate cars driving around in poor visibility with no lights on (not a good example to set - is it?)

just been reading about the new mot changes in May (new road worthiness directive) doing away with advisories & bringing in dangerous, major & minor, seems most testers don't like it.
