Hi everyone, can't get the info on this one. I believe it's a Isuzu engine which was also fitted to vauxhall vectras amongst others. Ad says 13 hours!!!!! I've seen some images of the pump online,it looks like a normal pump, except the drive pulley looks like a gear!! So I am imagining it runs off some sort Gear, somewhere!! Anyone ever done one on any make? Any special tools or procedures required? Bloke seemed desperate but rang me at six o,clock,so couldn't ring around to get info. Thanks for reading.

Found a bit of info on this, abeit only in vectra It's a cambelt off job!!! Then it's mark up gears and remove pump, then refitt correctly!!! So looks like injun out,cos there's no room to work on espaces!!
We done a petrol v6 espace years ago, took engine out to replace timing belt kit, water pump and rear three spark plugs!!!! He supplied his own bits, everything came from renault!!! Never ever saw him again!!!

Two weeks I had this car in my workshop before I got round to stripping it. Very, involved What you can't see is,os driveshaft out, sump drained and bottom engine mount undone. Pump lives inside engine and runs off some idler gears, these take drive from crank to hp diesel pump in middle of v. From there an external cambelt takes drive to cams.
Rads,ac off.this had an radiator fitted in error cos of pump!!! I took off compressor and ps pump to where exactly the drip was coming from. There's a small hole which connects to pump through gasket,I assume the pumps got a double seal to stop coolant leaking into sump. Very clever design, and thankfully not common at all. I'll try to snap up more pics on reassembly.

got this finished acouple of weeks ago, just havnt had time to write up about it. loading pics onto this site from an i pad is a serious faff and i couldnt be bothered anymore. otherwise i had photos on reassembly, all the way to the finish.
so heres an over view the job is seriously involved, but not impossible. you dont have to take engine out. front of car has to come off,ac gas has to be drained/evacuated.the os shaft has to come out, bottom engine mount and drain engine oil. i removed the header tank as well to give more flexibilty to move engine up and down. remove a/c pipes and diesel filter and pipes as nesssery to give room to reach bits. all the bolts(they are long)that hold engine mount will come out by moving engine up and down and forward and backwards to manovoure engine into a position that the bolt sits opposite a recess.
the camebelt has to come off, theres a cover over the engine, this has to come off. theers are 3 gears that drive upper cog, which drives the sprocket which drives cambelt.and high pressure pump which sits insde the v. the two intermediatte gears have to come off, they are dot stamped for re assembly. the water pumps under them two.
you cannot rush this job. the covers have no gasket,so instant is used, this itself needs 24 hours to cure to make a good joint seal.
