This is a world of pain...
The Mrs has a BMW 2011 320i coupe, It's lost all battery power, no remote fob activity, no dash lights no nothing. Accessed car with key blade (drivers door only, no tailgate)
12.50v at jump points under bonnet. Can't access battery/junction box in boot as remote or microswitch doesn't work. No power to 16 pin DLC
At the weekend, the car flashed the ABS and radio turned off, this happened a couple of times. Parked it up at work, back out to it 6 hrs later and dead.
I once managed to get the remote to randomly open the car, but no activity since then.
Any pointers?

Is that 12.5 v able to supply current Monkey, Until I can access the battery I can't be sure? The under bonnet positive jump post is connected directly to the battery in the boot I think?

Why don't you jump start it via the terminals under the bonnet?
I recall reading something about a blue wire connected to the battery. Disconnecting it would get the car going.

Id jump it if you can, and get it to an auto electrician, very weird unpredictable symptoms you have, good luck.

Might be worth trying jump leads on it as mentioned, especially if the problem is between the battery and the bodywork.

Can't you measure on the starter this is usually wired straight to batery Alternator is also option this will tell you how depleted the batery is There is usually u fuse between the 2 so if you get 12 on starter and nothing on alternator That's your problem

The posts under the bonnet were fine! Drop tested fine, the following day is fixed itself!
I eventually found a fault at the battery cable joining the fuse box behind the glovebox, it had a loose connection. Who knows if this was the original fault..
The cars been fine since but is having random problems which looks to me like a footwell module fault.
