Just had a call about this. its a 58 plate diesel. Handbrake seized on, with a "parking brake fault" and "stop" sign illuminated on dash.
Anybody any info/help? What am I looking to do? Is there a reset? Im pretty sure there is an emergency release in the boot? But what happens after its used?

Emergency release in back yeah If I remember correctly just pull it and then reseat it when finished
The module/ motor pulls the calipers is located osr
I believe these are a one time code unit so can't be bought second hand but I could be wrong

Modules pack up quite often I believe
If you get stuck you may be able to disconnect power to calipers (there fully electric I think )
Would have thought emergency release instructions are in the owners manual ?

My pals has a sticky caliper lever, I've had a mess with at mot time, I would see what codes are in it and if they will clear then have a look if cables operate or caliper levers work as a starting point.
