i alway's liked the Nova, the Women (she was 30 i was 18/19 ) i went out with for about 8 month's, in 1990/1 she was a school teacher had a 1989 G plate Nova 1.0, i had the 85 B plate Cavalier 1.6 GLS Saloon,i enjoyed driving the little Nova except on motorway run's where we tended to use my Cavvy ,altho the Nova sat at 70 easily enough ,my Mom's Cousin's Son (god rest his soul, daft sod killed himself over a Girl,he should have swam for Team GB in the 1988 iirc Olympic's,instead of Nick Gillingham,he broke his arm playing footy it never set properly ) had a 1989 F plate Nova GTE, as his company car (he was an architect) just before he Died in 1990 he was 23 ,i liked that car a lot

Right lads don't all laugh at once, you all know I have been mad on Bedfords and Vauxhalls for the past 60 years, or just mad ;D but some one as to like um, anyway my new project is a 1988 Nova 1.3 L, 5 door hatch, I'll try and load some photos up later. Been owned by some old dear and certainty looked after, 55k a load of history and back seats never been sat on, its mint condition and a credit to its previous owner. Its been mot and seviced most of its life by W J King garage long Lane, Bexleyheath, South London If anybody lives near this garage, let me know as they still have all the history on there screen, I have asked if they would send it to me but they wasn't keen, but may let some one have it in person. Cheers vaux Great cars the old Nova. Possibly looking through rose tinted specs, but I think the 80's were the best era for good Vauxhalls. Good cars to drive and fantastic engines. My mate had a Nova SR and he shoe-horned a 2.0 8v engine into it. As he was a mechanic, he made sure he beefed up the brakes and suspension as well. I remember trying to catch him in my 205 GTi, but without much success

A 1.6 Sarah, I agree, was like a slug. A 1.6 Monty was a nippy car, and I know as my Dad had one

Not raising a point. Just find it strange, that's all Each to their own I suppose didn't you ever have a thing for older women There's old and then there's old. Sorry Dave, but a 12 year age gap at the age of 18 is a bit strange
