Hi everyone. Had this recovered today.it broke down in France and was relayed two or three times back to the uk,different firms and different drivers all along the way!!! The actual complaint was that the stop light came on with low coolant level warning. She topped it up but saw liquid pouring down under car. Recovery services bought it to our garage where it's been running for an hour,no pressure build up or leaks while we had it running but also no hot air inside car either. Looking up under dash it seems to have had a matrix leaking at some time as we'll. So my question is. Do these cars run two water pumps?one electric? What's the matrix like to do? Where's stat,on outlet hose or return hose/engine block. When I asked him if anyone has put any rad weld init he replied I don't think so!!! Thanks for any help.

Probably got air in it. Top it up ang give it a drive, keep a good eye on temp gauge. As for liquid pouring down could be spill or a/c who knows. Usually these only go down a little bit before the warning light comes on. Ide imagine if its air locked she must have driven a good distance with light on. They never tell you the full story so I would just give it a good check over first. May be just a slow leak somewhere.

Quite common for the water pumps impeller blades to break if they are plastic. Can you feel any coolant circulating through the upper radiator hose when the engine is hot and idling. A bad thermostat that is not opening properly or a clogged radiator if someones telling porkies.

Yes Nobster is spot on,had a few of these with water pump impeller broken off and they also didn't overheat but heater was poor due to lack of circulation.
