Turbo failure on above car, lack of power and noise from turbo.
Replaced turbo, removed sump and found remains of needle rollers from turbo. Flushed oil pick up pipe, oil filter housing etc the usual on these.
Now no oil pressure. Dropped sump again and double checked. Oil filter bone dry. Obviously not picked up anything from sump.
No oil light on before hand although unfortunately myself and one of my techs cannot be 100% certain on this. Didn't take notice! Customer hasn't mentioned oil light on. Going to have to strip oil pump tomorrow I think.
Any ideas?

Is this 2008 my fiesta or older shape
At first I thought it was stage 5

Was the pick up clean ?
Not your typical failure then
Pump must have sucked up remains of turbo
Service history ?

Not just pressure relief valve stuck open - bit of crud got in it?

It's 2002 - 2008 MY
I've serviced it a couple of times but not seen it for a while.
Pick up had needles in it but not blocked up.

Is there any way you could try priming the pump by forcing oil back from the oil filter housing? I know it could be tricky but it would be easier than stripping the pump, and it's only an experiment.
