Hello guys
2011 2.0 tdi vw t5 transporter
It's my mates van and going to be doing a cambelt on it on his drive next week while I'm off.
Now as much as I'm sure I've done these engine before with just a drill bit and paint pen.
Want to confirm wether I will actually be able to it ok that way. Or wether its best mr just buying in timing tool?

I know thy its ment to have to correct tools
But do you think it would work ok with just drill bit in camshaft hole?
I'm sure I've done this before but it possibly on the older 1.9 engine
