Would you care to divulge any further details as I'm sure there's a few different versions and year ranges
Injectors dribbling would be my one of the first things to check

Do you start it up and move it a very short distance in the evening? Like moving it into a garage a few hours after you get home from work

tea maker can you expand on the DV / DWPLEASE its monkey to you tea maker is his status!! i would imagine that there is a design fault somewhere, from your symptims i guess the petrol injectors are dribbling. get it booked into a peugeot dealer for a diagnosis, its usually an hours labour, belive me itll be worth it. it might be that it needs a software update or is due a recall, theyll be able to advise properly. failing that,a specialist garage or competant garage should be able to diagnose the problem for you. i specialise on french cars, but havnt come across this problem on a 308 yet. if it came into my workshop then a phone call to my local pug dealer with the chassis number would reveal any known issues or outstanding recalls due. ive seen too many times, non genuine accessory fitted to a car to cause very odd faults, esp aftermarket radios fitted to psa cars cause all sorts of issues!!

Mac as in my previous posts I have explained all I know I have limited knowledge about cars But to recap the car is a peugeot 308 1.4 petrol 58 plate it was parked on the drive Friday evening around 6 pm on Saturday around 2pm I went to start the car , I would not start it was turning over and it sounded like is was going to fire up but never did , I called the AA they told me it was flooded so they took out the fuse for the petrol pump then turned the car over it started then they then put the fuse for the petrol pump back in the car ran from the rest of the day including starting it later on in the evening it was parked up until Sunday evening I tried to start it around 5 pm the same problem occurred so I took the fuse out and the Mrs. turned the car over it started again ti then put the fused back in and it run ok that as much as I know Many thanks for your replies

This needs a fuel rail pressure test for regulation of the pressure and leak-down decay (as KarlB says, "dribbling injectors" being the most likely issue here). This needs proper diagnostic equipment in a garage to measure, so you will have to bite the bullet and find a decent diagnostic Engineer or independent garage that knows what they are doing.
I don't know if AA man checked for a viable set of sensor values for the engine before he pulled the fuse (coolant sensor being the one I would check first), but that would be covered anyway by a decent garage.

Tell you the truth i havn't seen dribbling petrol injector problems for a long time , you guys might have though, the ones i used to see caused hot start problems if they were bad enough, they mainly just burned out the coil resistance. the fuse pull is maybe a standard thing this patrol man does when he sees a suspect flooded problem ? as said it needs a proper diagnoses ..
