Friend has a scenic 2 on 53 plate
It's having issues starting or it won't go nothing happens on the push start
Takes the key out and try's again and 2nd or 3rd attempt car will go.
Does this sound like a card reader fault?
And are the card readers programmed to car or are they plug and plug?

And are the card readers programmed to car or are they plug and plug? common as you like im afraid. people sit on them, drop them etc etc merc and reno keys are a pain in the ar*e!!!getting security info out of is like getting blood out of a stone!! reno will take over a week to get you a new one,im pretty sure it then needs programming to the car. i could be wrong on that, cost is about a £100 just for key. ive got a dedicated to reno locksmith who comes round, supplies and installs a new key for 160 or 2 for 240. another mechanic did tell me the other day that he got his sisters one working by opening it up and reattaching a metal clip that had come adrift!! ive never opened one up yet.
