Ford Focus 2.0 dw diesel
Came in mil on , flags p1335 pcm (egr position sensor performance b circuit) don't have full description With me now
Key on connected I had pin 1 5v ref , pin 3 ground 0.1 v , pin 4 1.4 v supply , pin 5 ground 0.1 v pin 6 1.0 signal
Removed egr was blocked/stuck/frozen
Replaced and dtc clears and retest ok , unable to carry out learn reset
Road test and recheck dtc returns though not mil
Disconnect pcm and and egr load test with 21w bulb
Resistances also checked 0.2 ohms
Pin 4 should be 12 v , so recheck at pcm also 1.4 v
So why isn't PCM providing 12 v ? Has old EGR damaged the pcm transistors
Or should i be looking towards something else

Any signs of carbon or a foreign body preventing the valve from fully closing.

It's got a new one on there now

It's got a new one on there now Yes I know but it wouldn't be the first time a new part turns out to be faulty as well. The EGR valve position voltage is greater than the allowable limit when closed and is not being commanded by the PCM hence me asking.

Can you open up the ECU on these? If not get it tested

Only thing I can think of is maybe an incorrect maf reading

The box had been opened though which I never like Off your Parts Dept or outside source. Any signs it's been used before you and chucked back as a faulty one and slipped the net.

Checking another vehicle and its supply 12 v is switched on/off at key on Mine isn't ? Keep throwing questions at me though as it helps
