The above failed emission test. All was ok on low idle but at 2700 rpm the lambda was .9 and the co was 3.5 . Sorry don't have exact results with me now, these are what I got from customer over the phone. Will have car in tomorrow so just wondered what you guys think based on what I got. Cheers

Cheers What's the cars CTS doing? Reason I ask is if the ECU is unable to determine what the engine's accurate temperature is it will not adjust fuel delivery properly resulting in high CO reading. There again it could be a very dirty air filter. We'll wait for your emission test figures.

Only got to look at this yesterday, after a few checks we found that the O2 sensor was dead, we replaced it and now emissions are spot on again. Cheers

Cheers I think unless the vehicle is in front of you and you have carried out all the relevant checks and then you are stuck, ask for assistance otherwise I think it's pointless asking for help.

Don't agree. I don't believe you need to be stuck before you ask for advice, as often talking about an issue like this (emission failure)before you start working on it can be a great help. A lot of the guys on here have a lot of experience and are willing to help where they can.

I agree with you, when I have a job that I have not done previously for a long time or unfamiliarity might be present, then I have a good read about the subject area and familiarize myself before starting the job, that way I know what I am looking for before I start, and I think it's the best approach
